Did you know that 40% of everything that is in a landfill is paper? You can help reduce that number by recycling your newspaper, magazines, shopping
catalogs, office & school papers, and mail - 24 hours a day, 7days a week from our parking lot. As an added bonus to helping the environment, The Children's Place will earn money for all paper dropped off at our green and yellow Abitibi Paper Retriever® bin. The bin is located
conveniently at the entrance to our parking lot - at 58th Street and Brookside Boulevard.
On a regularly scheduled basis, Abitibi-Consolidated Recycling Division will
empty the Abitibi Paper Retriever®, and The Children's Place will earn revenue based on the weight of the contents. That means - the more we recycle, the more we earn and less that goes in the landfill. The paper will be sorted and sent to one
of Abitibi-Consolidated’s de-inking facilities in the United States where it will be
turned into marketable paper products such as newsprint.
Internally, we have committed to recycling all of our paper products, but we need local involvement to help make a difference. We encourage everyone in the community to participate. Please spread the word. Your involvement can help save landfill
space, clean up the environment and earn money for The Children's Place.
Thank you for your commitment to the environment and for your continued support of The Children's Place.
