Adults and students (16+) are needed to serve as classroom assistants in the Day Treatment Services program. Volunteers spend one morning each week in the classroom working directly with our children. The hands-on commitment of caring volunteers enables us to provide each and every child in the program with the maximum amount of much needed stimulation, guidance, nurturing, and love.
Volunteers support our expert staff by working with the children individually and in groups, participating in developmentally appropriate and therapeutic activities, going on field trips, and helping with meals and the preparation/clean up for lessons. In order to ensure the stability needed by the children new volunteers are asked to commit to either an initial four month period for adults or a semester/summer for students.

* 16 or older
* Initial 4 month (adults) or semester/summer (students) commitment
