The Children’s Place is pleased to announce that it is the first Kansas City area agency to be named as a Show-Me Solution, for its 27 years of work to promote positive mental health and developmental outcomes through prevention, treatment and family support for young children who have experienced abuse, neglect or trauma.
The goal of Show-Me Solutions is to recognize the wonderful work being done in communities across the heartland. The program will highlight private and charitable organizations helping those who are less fortunate and bring awareness to Missourians about the tireless efforts underway in our state. The ultimate objective of this initiative is to encourage participation and increase the number of Missourians taking part in charitable organizations in their communities.
As part of the Show-Me Solutions initiative, Governor Matt Blunt will be visiting various charitable organizations throughout Missouri spotlighting their generous contribution to our state and its citizens.
On Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 2:15 P.M. Governor Matt Blunt will spend some time reading to the children in the Day Treatment Services program, and then immediately following will hold a Show-Me Solutions Press Conference. Both events will take place at The Children’s Place at 2 East 59th Street, KCMO 64113.
