Non-profit’s holiday party includes a gift-wrapped toy, brand new outfit,
teddy bear — and time on Santa’s lap — for every child
This Wednesday morning is one of the most special highlights of the year for The
Children’s Place. Jingle bells ring, eyes open wide and hearts warm as Santa Claus
comes to personally deliver a huge helping of holiday cheer into the children’s lives.
Since 1978, The Children’s Place has been committed to meeting the developmental
and mental health needs of Kansas City’s very youngest victims of child abuse, neglect
and other trauma.
WHEN: This Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007,
10 to 11 a.m.
WHAT: The Children’s Place annual holiday party
• Santa calls each child, one by one, up to visit with him and receive
a gift-wrapped toy direct from
the North Pole!
• IRS Examinations Operations employees are donating the gifts —
a brand new outfit and a toy.
• John and Kay Mader are providing a new teddy bear for each child.
This event is not open to the public.
WHERE: The Children’s Place; Two E. 59th St.; Kansas City, MO 64113
WHO: Forty-eight children, ages 4 months to 6 years, who are enrolled in The
Children’s Place day treatment program.
Santa Claus (the same one!) has visited The Children’s Place holiday party
every year since 1978.
We appreciate you working with us to help protect the children’s identity.
HOW to help: The public can help make this holiday season brighter for children and
families of The Children’s Place in a variety of ways by:
• making a cash donation or in-kind gift,
• volunteering one’s time and talents,
• organizing a fundraiser, and
• supporting a future agency event.
