What's the difference between reading a story about farm animals and actually seeing one? A caring volunteer! Long-time pre-school room volunteer, Virginia Emley and her husband Roger felt passionately that petting and feeding farm animals were important learning experiences that the children at The Children's Place needed to have. On October 24th, they generously sponsored an onsite petting farm for the kids in the Day Treatment program. Guests of honor included a baby mule, a calf, sheep, goats, pot bellied pigs and a rooster.
